Cockcroft Global was  founded by Andrew Cockcroft in 2011

Andrew graduated from the University of Manchester with a BSc Hons in Biochemistry and began his professional career in medical sales with a young start-up company Quinoderm Ltd based in Oldham

He joined Courtaulds Coatings (International Paint) UK Powder Coatings in 1982 as a technical area sales manager and held positions as business development manager and national sales manager before moving to the worldwide powder coatings global centre as marketing manager in 1992. Courtaulds Coatings was acquired by Akzo Nobel in 1998 and Andrew held senior global marketing and project management positions until 2009 when his career took a new direction. Andrew launched a powder coatings consultancy and Cockcroft Global was established in 2011 to provide a specialist chemicals sourcing service

One of the first projects undertaken was to lead a major sourcing and procurement project for the international Toy and Hobby manufacturer Hornby Hobbies sourcing new suppliers for the iconic range of Humbrol enamel paints, Humbrol adhesives and Humbrol model making materials as well as managing ACMI toy safety certifications for product sales in the USA

Cockcroft Global is focused on providing chemical sourcing solutions from a network of manufacturers and suppliers in Europe, China, Asia Pacific and the Americas

The business has developed a particular expertise in the Pharma sector and has sourced many rare and difficult to find chemicals used by major global pharmaceutical companies
